What is Pathfinders?

Our hearts desire is that, through this ministry, men can grow in their faith through bonding and developing relationships with other men.

How important is the roll of the MAN in the family?

  • When a mother comes to faith in Christ the rest of her family follows 17% of the time.
  • When a father comes to faith in Christ the rest of the family follows 93% of the time.

Conclusion: When a man encounters Christ his family follows.

What did Jesus do?

A man's role in the family and in the church is vitally important. Who did Jesus first concentrate on in his ministry here on earth? MEN. His approach was developing men first. He focused like a laser on a ragtag band of twelve men.

Through Pathfinders, we want to offer adventure, achievement and challenge.

Adventure:
offer an avenue where men can spend quality time doing activities together like camping, backpacking, skiing, snowmobiling, four wheeling, fishing, golfing or whatever things that guys within this circle find adventurous.
Achievement:
offer opportunities where we as men can lend our talents and give through hands-on serving. Like handyman work for the needy, having an oil changing day for single moms or the elderly, mission projects designed for men, other community related projects.
Challenge:
offer opportunities for men to learn from and with other men.

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. ~ Proverbs 27:17

  • What happens when you sharpen iron? Sparks fly! Sometimes sharpening hurts. But for men to truly sharpen each other we must know each other deeper, trust each other implicitly and we must be willing to speak the truth even when it hurt.
  • How do we accomplish this? Through discipleship. Discipleship is defined as people leading each other to maturity in Christ. Not sitting through a class listening to a teacher. It is a band of brothers spurring each other on toward love and good deeds. Plain and simple, discipleship is the model left to us by Jesus.
  • So we want to challenge you to get involved in small groups for men.

Boys follow men not religions. If your son never gets to know a man who is walking with Christ, chances are very slim he will ever walk with Christ.

Have you ever wanted to get a second opinion or just words of encouragement regarding the hard road that you are on? Are you amazed at how a nice, smooth, wide, path can turn into the path from, well, hell? You reach a crest only to find the going is far from done. No cool streams in sight to fill your dwindling water supply. No sign of that place of rest.

Men are singled out as being the ones who don't ask for help. Real men don't need to, right? Some think that it is a sign of weakness if they reach out.

We believe that we need our Brothers in Christ, our Band of Brothers, to watch our backs, provide Godly counsel, and to give us a helping hand when we stumble.

This is what Pathfinders Men's Ministry is all about.
